> COMPETITION RULES
All CEO´2008 competitions are organised according to "Competition
Rules for IOF and FEDO.
> MAPS
Maps are drawn in accordance with the IOF Specification for
Orienteering Maps.
Race Map Scale and Equidistance
Sprint 1:4.000 - E 2,5 m.
Middle 1:10.000 - E 5 m.
Long 1:15.000 and 1:10.000 - E 5 m.
Relay 1:10.000 -E 5 m.
> CONTROL DESCRIPTION
The control descriptions will be conform to the IOF rules and
are available at the pre-start of each race. Those will also
be printed on each map.
Both days there will be a marked course for children.
> ANTI-DOPING
The organizers are committed to do everything required to support
the official anti-doping authorities at CEO´2008 to successfully
and openly do their work. We strongly support all positive efforts
to keep our sport clean and doping free. The rules of the IOF
Anti-Doping Code, valid from January 1, 2004 apply.
> PUNCHING SYSTEM
Sportident
Electronic SPORTident punching system
will be used in all CEO´2008 events.
Each competitors must register his/her Sportident code on
the entry form.
Rental: 6 € + 30€ deposit.
Purchase: 36€.
SI-card protocol
Every runner must check in the lists of the starting times,
the number of electronic
punch assigned in order to be able communicate any error to
the organisers.
Start:
- 5 minuts: pre start
- 3 minuts: check numbers bibs, and clean s-i card.
- 2 minuts: check s-i card, and take the paper control descriptions.
- 1 minut: verification map class (every runner is responsable
to take the map
according your class ) .
Other questions
The runner must be respect the order of controls in the race.
Is responsable to
verifiying your electronic punch in the SI station (sound
our light). If the SI station not
work out the sound and light, your could punch in the map
with the hand punch.
> CLOTHING
According to competition rules for IOF foot orienteering events,
the choice of clothing and footwear is free. The organisers
recommend full covered legs and arms especially in the Long,
Middle and Relay Distance event.
